Martinique is both a region and overseas department of French overseas (number 972). It owes its name to Christopher Columbus who discovered it in 1502. The name has evolved along the pronunciations Madinina, "Island of Flowers".
This island is full of beautiful spots for windsurfing, I'm used to navigate and I suggest you explore these different spots accessible to all levels.Located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the Hawaiian Islands are composed of 6 main islands (Big Island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai and Lanai). Maui is the second largest. Its area is approximately 1,200 km2. It has about 110,000 inhabitants. Plantations of sugarcane and pineapple are important even if it's tourism industry which is economically the most important. The volcano Haleakala rises to about 3,000 m above sea level and last erupted in 1790.
This island is a paradise for surfers, windsurfers and lovers of treacking.
Hookipa is the spot board the most photographed in the world. This island is the place where gather the greatest windsurfers the world
